The genre of my film idea is Suspense/Thriller which is meant to make the audience feel, excited, tense, nervous, anxious and make them feel high levels of anticipation. At the beginning of Suspense/Thriller the film sets the audience a scene that they're is goal that needs to be achieved either to retrieve something, gain something, kill someone or uncover a truth or secret. In the middle part of Suspense/Thriller film a lot of drama and tension builds up as the goal is in the process of being achieved including lots of drama and tension builds to make the audience feel tension. At the end of a thriller films a goal is either achieved or not but the audience will see the film coming to its climax which will build tension, drama and anxiety as the goal is achieved or not. The tension usually arises when the main character(s) is placed in a menacing situation or mystery, or an escape or dangerous mission from which escape seems impossible. Life itself is threatened, usually because the principal character is unsuspecting or unknowingly involved in a dangerous or potentially deadly situation.
SIMILAR FILM:
Raining Stones is a similar storyline to
my film and also genre. The storyline of the Raining Stones film which is made
my Ken Loach of a devoted family man who needs to raise money for his little
girl’s first communion dress which is expensive. The determination of the man gets him into a
lot of trouble as he tries very disastrous ways of raising the money. However
he is devoted to doing this therefore strives throughout the film in dramatic
ways to get the money to help out his little girl. One of the categories this
film comes under for genre is Drama which is similar to my idea for my film.
