RESEARCH ON MUSIC AND TITLE SEQUENCES.

MUSIC:
Crime/Thriller's music usually builds a lot of tension when there's a situation that is occurring that is dangerous, suspense or scary. The music usually begins soft and slowly builds as more things begin to occur usually building up to a big event then as the event is about to happen the music gets louder and more fast paced, once the event/situation has happened the music begins getting quieter and comes to an end. This type of music makes the audience feel tense and worried at what is about to happen, it also fills them with emotions and a sense of concern or hatred towards the characters within the scene of the music building.
This is a short clip from Gladiator to show the building of the music as Maximus comes to his death.

TITLE SEQUENCES:
Title sequences in Crime/Thriller films tend to be quite fast paced when coming up with the titles of the directors producers and actors, to coincide with the nature of a Crime/Thriller genre as throughout the film it is all fast paced, therefore the title sequence is meant to show the audience what type of film they're about to watch. Also some images that may come on to the title sequences for Crime/Thriller films such as blueprints, money, guns, knives, blood and shadows this shows the genre of the film straight away. Also the music on the title sequence will allow the audience what type of film they will be watching within the first few minutes.

This is a short clip of a title sequence for Inside Man, a Crime/Thriller genre film.
