Treatment

TITLE: Betrayal
DURATION: 5/6 MINUTES 
SUMMARY: 

  • The start of the film is a scene with two men Jason and Dale walking down a street after a night out just talking and laughing together while eating a takeaway.
  • Dale then says Jason "just nipping to the toilet mate" walks into the pub and heads for the toilet.
  • Then see Dale in the toilet, not actually using the toilet but using his phone and you see him send a message to an unnamed contact in his phone saying "NOW" 
  • Then a shot of Jason continuing to walk down the street, but then a shot of the side of Jason's head as he walks then he gets hit over the head with a hammer
  • Then a point of view shot from Jason's view on the floor, slightly blacked out and at a canted angle. As he sees a man run off into the distance.
  • Then Jason wakes up in a small secluded room laid on a quilt cover/mattress with a phone at the side of him and he sees a webcam looking at him, then shot from the webcams point of view as he goes closer up to the camera.
  • The phone then starts to ring and muffled voice speaks on the other end of the phone and hears that he is held there for ever unless he can get £25,000 to the man in 48 hours. Also if he calls the police or anyone to gets someone to to get the police involved he will die.
  • Jason calls his dad to get the money for him, we see his dad putting the stacks of cash into a bag, then a shot of the specific bag.
  • Dad calls the number back says he has the money sorted. The phone then rings again as soon as dad hangs up, Says tell your dad to leave the money in the bin beside the big red building.
  • Then a shot of the dad leaving the money in a bin 
  • Then a final shot of Dale (the original friend) taking the money from the bin and the audiece realise that Dale has played Jason for his money.
